Dates: 20 - 21 November 2025
Location: bUm (betterplace Umspannwerk) - Berlin
The two-day interdisciplinary workshop focused on improving the landscape of abortion care. In Germany, research and access to safe abortion care are often shaped by stigma and barriers. Through international networking and exchange, the event aimed to address existing research gaps and strengthen scientific access and collaboration. Using Story Circles and Patient Journey Mapping, participants shared experiences, clarified research goals, and identified key challenges in the field. The workshop was open to researchers from all disciplines — whether already working on abortion care or planning to engage with the topic in the future. A diversity of perspectives and levels of experience encouraged a rich and interdisciplinary exchange.
