Description: The fall Funding Webinar Series is an initiative by the German Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA) to inform the German research community about key funding programs in the global health space. In this session, the German National Contact Point Health and the Global Health Team within the Department Health Research of the DLR Project Management Agency will share information about relevant funding programs (Horizon Europe Cluster Health, EDCTP).
Horizon Europe includes a Cluster on Health and is EU’s flagship research and innovation program. The Cluster Health in Horizon Europe provides substantial funding for collaborative research and innovation activities to address various health challenges and calls for collaboration across disciplines, sectors and countries. Another program is the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), which focuses on supporting clinical research on neglected, poverty-associated diseases. The program offers opportunities for Germany-based researchers to carry out projects with partners in sub-Sahara Africa.
Both of these programs offer highly collaborative transnational research projects The session will provide participants with the basic framework and aims of these two EU funding programs and will include time for questions. The webinar will not be recorded.
