GLOHRA Day 2025, the fifth annual symposium of the German Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA), brought together members of the community to facilitate exchange on research and policy topics relevant to global health research. 200+ participants joined on site in Berlin and 50+ more tuned in online for a day full of research insights, lively discussions and new connections.
The day began with the General Assembly featuring updates on current activities from the GLOHRA Secretariat and a live “Meet our Member” interview with Kavita Singh, Mike Mösko and Prakash Ghosh, moderated by Kerem Böge.
After lunch, participants engaged in the interactive “Ask the Community” session, joining thematic roundtables to connect with researchers working on similar topics or attending mini-methods forums to gain insights into unfamiliar methods.
In the afternoon, active GLOHRA research projects showcased their work in a poster session. The five projects nominated for the GLOHRA Prize for Global Health Research took to the stage with compelling pitches highlighting their outstanding contributions to global health. Congratulations to the GLOHRA Prize recipients: Racism and Mental Health: A Qualitative Study with Humanitarian Workers (Hannah Strohmeier, Charité) & WellPak: Community-based Integration of a Digital Intervention for Mental Health in Pakistan (Hajo Zeeb & Maham Saleem, BIPS)
Finally, in the highlight of the day, Prof. Ntobeko Ntusi delivered a powerful keynote painting a picture of a more inclusive, equitable and robust future for global health.
