Description: In this session, the Global Health Team within the Department Health Research of the DLR Project Management Agency (DLR Projektträger) and the German National Contact Point Health (NKS) will share information about relevant EU funding programs, in particular EDCTP and Horizon.

The European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) focuses on supporting clinical research on neglected, poverty-associated diseases. The program offers opportunities for Germany-based researchers to carry out projects with partners in sub-Saharan Africa.

Horizon Europe includes a Cluster on Health and is EU’s flagship research and innovation program. The Cluster Health in Horizon Europe provides funding for collaborative research activities to address various health challenges.

Both of these programs offer highly collaborative transnational research projects The session will provide participants with the basic framework and aims of these two EU funding programs and will include time for questions. The webinar will not be recorded.
