Global Health Futures

Make decisions. See the consequences. Adapt your strategy.
In this browser-based game, players take on the role of a Global Health Advisor and navigate interconnected local and global health challenges. They make strategic choices across crisis response, prevention, and research while balancing short-term pressures with long-term investments.
Players need to keep four key indicators in balance:
- Health
- Knowledge
- Popularity
- Budget
Throughout the game, players respond to crises such as heatwaves, floods, and disease outbreaks, choose between proposals from different stakeholders, and invest in knowledge and research. Each decision comes with trade-offs and consequences that can shape future outcomes.
The game can be used and shared free of charge, including in university teaching, workshops, public engagement activities, and other educational settings. We encourage educators, students, researchers, and others interested in global health to explore the game and share it with their networks. Global Health Futures is intended as a starting point for exploring the complexity of global health decision-making and encouraging discussion about the choices, trade-offs, and consequences involved. Global Health Futures was developed by the GLOHRA Secretariat together with Playersjourney.
