About the dialogue events
These dialogue events introduce and explore the Catalogue of Competencies (CoC) for global health research, with a focus on practical application. The two webinars are designed to support both individual researchers and those involved in research training and program development in using the competency-based framework effectively.
For doctoral and postdoctoral researchers (24 February 2026, please register in advance)
This session focuses on how doctoral and postdoctoral researchers can use the CoC to reflect on, assess, and further develop their competencies across key areas of global health research, including research practice, management, supervision, teaching and related professional activities.
- How can doctoral students and postdocs use the CoC to assess and further develop their competencies?
- What are the benefits of using the CoC for career planning and professional development?
For curriculum developers, program coordinators, teachers, trainers and supervisors (26 February 2026, please register in advance)
This session will explore how the CoC can inform and strengthen research, education, and training initiatives for global health research in Germany and beyond.
- How can the CoC be integrated into, or used to inform, curriculum and program development?
- What are the advantages of adopting a competency-based framework in global health research education and training?
