The Global Health Academy is pleased to announce its inaugural Annual Early Career Symposium.
Designed for 40 early career researchers, the Symposium offers dedicated spaces for meaningful peer-to-peer exchange and networking — fostering connections that extend well beyond the event itself.
Scheduled for the day immediately following GLOHRA Day, the Symposium can conveniently be combined with that event in a single trip. Participants will gain access to the GLOHRA Training Platform to stay connected and continue exchanging ideas long after the Symposium concludes.
What to expect:
- Peer Coaching — A self-organized, supportive format that brings early career researchers together to connect, share, and grow, both during and beyond the event.
- Peer Colloquia — An opportunity for meaningful academic exchange, developing presentation and teaching skills while building an interdisciplinary community within global health research.
- Interactive Training Session — A hands-on session tailored to the diverse, interdisciplinary needs of early career researchers. The specific topic will be announced at a later date.
- Chimney Talk on Career Pathways — Mid-career and senior researchers share their experiences in global health research, followed by an open discussion.
- Social Programme — The day will close with a shared activity and an informal get-together at a local venue (open end).
Participation is free of charge. Please note that travel and accommodation costs are not covered.
Please complete the application form by 20 April 2026. Applicants will be informed about the outcome in early May.
